default.html does not update?
« on: March 14, 2021, 12:02:03 pm »
I bought the Internet Add-on because uploads to my server service would get stuck before all of the files would upload.  The Add-on works great, I really like the zip feature.

It has been a couple of days and out of curiosity I thought I would try uploading to my server service again.  Much to my surprise all of the files uploaded to my server service.
Here's the thing... the default.htm file updates to my server service but the default.html file does not update and default.html file seems to be stuck on a date before I bought the Add-on?

I have no regrets about getting the Add-on, I lost confidence in my server service when uploads got stuck,  I'm just curious if there is an explanation for the .htm .html quirk?

Did you ever by chance update the "Home Page" setting in the Build Web Site options to be either Index or Home at some point?  Can you post a link to the page you are referring to so I can see it?

Just looks to me like you've uploaded 2 different times using different file extensions.  Once using .html and once (currently) using .html.  If you select the Reports menu, then Report File Names you can see where you can define what extension to use.  Have you changed this from .html to .htm?

So I'm a little confused, are you using the Internet Add-on on your own hosting site?  If you are using the Internet Add-on then it forces the use of .htm on our server, which is why you can't change it, but then it also wouldn't be uploading to your server but our server.

With the Internet Add-on you can only "host" one pool so that actually makes sense that it's the same URL.  You'd need to setup a 2nd account if you want to use the Internet Add-on for a 2nd pool.

By second account I meant a 2nd email address, that's how you get different URLs.  So that part is actually ok now you mean?

Maybe you can send me your 2 pool files to support@turbotourney.com so I can see how you have them configured.   I still don't understand how any of it would get uploaded to your site if you are using the Internet Add-on, the URL should be on mysideline.com site only.

Because I didn't know what I was doing I got to thinking that the way I was posting my questions would not be helpful to anyone so I removed the posts.  Your patience, persistence and rapid response to help me get back on track is awesome, Thanks : )
